Intro to Relief Print Making

The aim of this course is to provide students with an introduction to art of relief printmaking. The class will work with linoleum block in a hybrid Japanese tradition, starting with cutting "keyblocks" and moving on to explore simple, multiple block, color prints that build from the initial keyblock. Prospective students should possess basic drawing skills. The majority of the materials will be provided by the D.R.A.W.
Classes are held at in the D.R.A.W. Studio in the YMCA, 507 Broadway, Kingston, NY
