Ben Wigfall Project

 

Over the course of 3 months, the Pop Up Gallery Group has worked with The Samuel Dorsky Museum, Richard Frumess, D.R.A.W., and Eureka! House Artists in Public Assistants residence, DonChristian, and Jake Robbins, exploring the legacy of Ben Wigfall, a local artist/visionary whose life and work as a printmaker, educator, and community activist served as a model for bringing people together in a shared creative community. Ben Wigfall was dedicated to providing space within the context of art making to encourage a deeper understanding of what it means to be human through conversation, facilitation, and collaborative learning. Through this exhibit of art and video, we hope to share what we have learned and carry his legacy and inspiration into the future.
