Basic Bookbinding with Chris Petrone In this second workshop offered by Chris, you will learn several different bookbinding techniques and will be introduced to alternative ways to work with a traditional codex, or multiple book pages. Participants will learn two different soft cover multiple signature bindings: the book pages will lie flat when open. Use link stitch and long stitch to create sample book structures to use for reference in your own work or projects.

Chris Petrone lives and works in the Hudson Valley and is the studio manager at the Women's Studio Workshop, where she manages the printmaking and paper making facilities. She enjoys collaborating with others in the studio, and geeking out on all things technical. Working with artists in residence and their artist book projects, Chris has facilitated in the production and editioning of over 70 handmade artist books published through WSW.
