“The Everyday Projects is an ever-growing global community of photographers who strive to make images that convey a more accurate view of daily life than what is commonly seen in the media. William Eggleston: The Photography of Everyday
Street photographer/artist William Eggleston committed to photography as 'a democratic way of looking around,' and spent his life photographing his hometown in Memphis, Tenn. He captured the everyday, noticing the small details in the world around him: diners, cups of coffee, street lights, road signs, someone’s mom. Through his pioneering use of color photography in the 1960s and his subject matter, he captured the story of a time and place.
