Sculptor and photographer, Andy Goldsworthy, is a great example of a contemporary artist inspired by his natural surroundings. Goldsworthy works with nature, in nature. He rearranges natural forms to enhance their beauty. Often quite small in scale, his poetic site-specific pieces are made from ephemeral or organic materials - dandelion flowers laid in a ring or icicles perched on a rock - and then documented through photographs.
